Roof Buddy is built on a legacy of craftsmanship, family values, and dedication to doing things the right way. It all began in 1989 when Michael Abitan, an immigrant from Morocco, founded Artco Construction in Los Angeles. Driven by a desire to provide for his wife and three sons, Michael quickly earned a reputation for integrity and exceptional workmanship.
His son, Sam, worked by his side from a young age, learning the business from the ground up. In 2011, Sam obtained his own contractor’s license and established ABI Construction, continuing the family tradition of quality and care. After Michael’s passing in 2014, Sam took the reins fully, carrying forward his father’s vision and keeping the team intact.
Since then, we’ve completed over 2,500 projects across California. Today, as we upgrade our brand from ABI Construction to Roof Buddy, our commitment remains unchanged: honest work, expert roofing, and a customer-first approach—just like Michael would have wanted.
